Debut Video Capture is a freeware (with restrictions) application which provides a number of options for capturing video from a variety of sources, the most used probably being the screen capture tool which allows you to either record your entire screen or a specific region of it.
Included with the screen capture option is the ability to also capture video from other sources such as your webcam, external video capture device or devices accessible on a network such as a closed circuit television system.
The main options of the program include video encoding type, color adjustments, video source, watermark video and more. You may also automatically include text on the output video.
To use Debut Video Capture, simply select the source from which you would like to capture video, set your encoding type (AVI is the default), add text or a watermark if necessary and click the red "Record" button and you're ready to go.
In addition to real-time "right now" recording, you can also set Debut Video Capture up to record from a source at a specific time with the schedule feature.
In the end, this program is friendly on system resources, installs in an instant and provides many features that some of the more primitive video capture programs lack. Though the program isn't as advanced as some, it does provide some of the basic tools required to create high-quality recordings up to 1920x1080.
Installation note: When you run the setup for this program, you may be asked to install the Google Toolbar. To avoid installing adware on your system, we recommend deselecting the optional addon which is checked by default.Debut Video Capture features and highlights:
